【Rules】
To enhance the interactivity between dancers across regions, the competition rules will be different from regular Mix & Match. We will categorize the participants into two categories - (1) local dancers who have lived in Taiwan for >2 years and (2) foreign dancers who have lived in Taiwan for<=2 years (incl. zero year). You will dance with a “brand new” partner at whatever level you choose!

In the following rules, “local dancers who have lived in Taiwan for >2 years “ will be abbreviated as "local dancers", and "foreign dancers who have lived in Taiwan for<=2 years (incl. zero year)" will be abbreviated as “foreign dancers”.
【Open Mix & Match】
Open Mix&Match
4 categories for registration include Local Leader, Local Follower, Foreign Leader, and Foreign Follower with 20 spots per category
Open Mix & Match is for individual registration; there’s no limitation on dancing age
The competition will be divided into Prelim and Final:
Prelim: dancers will dance with different partners for 3 DJ songs at different speeds between 140-180 bpm; each song will be ~60 seconds.
Final: you will dance with the live band and the order will be determined on the spot; the Final consists of two rounds of 8*8’s and All Skat. The speed of the song will be ~180 bpm.
Prelim and Final will be held on Friday and please be sure that you’ve purchased the Friday party ticket or your registration will be invalid
Fee: NTD 300/ person
【Advance Mix & Match (Battle Format)】
There’s no restriction on Leader/Follower and content! Choreography and improvisation are welcome!
There’s no restriction on the roles (Leader/Follower) and only 16 spots per category (“local dancers” and “foreign dancers”) for registration; a local dancer will be paired up with a foreign dancer based on the draw
Advanced Mix & Match will adopt the 2 vs 2 battle format with 4 rounds of battle to decide the final winners
Prelims: duos will dance to 1 DJ song in the swing structure for 16*8’s at the same time and judges will select the best 8 duos
¼ final: duos will dance to 1 DJ song in the swing structure for two rounds of 8*8’s and the judges will select the best 4 duos
½ final: duos will dance to 1 live band song in the swing structure for two rounds of 8*8’s and the judges will select the best 2 duos
3rd/4th Place: duos will dance to 1 live band song in the swing structure for two rounds of 8*8’s then all skate. the judges will select the 3rd and 4th place.
Final: duos will dance to 1 live band song with 16*8’s for the first round and 8*8’s for the second round then all skate; the judge will select the final winners
*Speed: 180~220 bpm
The draw will be held before bubble pop event which will determine your partner for the whole competition
Advanced Mix & Match is for individual registration and please assess the level by yourselves; dancers with competition experiences will be suggested
Prelim and Final will be held on Friday and please be sure that you’ve purchased the Friday party ticket or your registration will be invalid
Fee: NTD 300/ person

Open Strictly is for COUPLE registration and there’s no limitation on dancing age
The competition will be divided into Prelim and Final:
Prelim: dancers will dance to 3 DJ songs at different speeds between 140-180 bpm; each song will be ~90 seconds
Final: you will dance with the live band and the order will be determined on the spot; the final consists of two rounds with 8*8’s per round and All Skat. The speed of the song will be ~180 bpm.
Prelim and Final will be held on Saturday and please be sure that you’ve purchased the Saturday party ticket or your registration will be invalid
Fee: NTD 600/ couple
【Advanced Strictly】

【Solo Jazz】
Solo Jazz is for individual registration and there’s no limitation on dance age
The competition will be divided into Prelim and Final:
Prelim: dancers will dance to 3 DJ songs at different speeds between 150-190 bpm; each song will be ~60 seconds
Final: you will dance with the live band and the order will be determined on the spot; the final consists of two rounds with 8*8’s per round and All Skat. The song will be around 190 bpm.
Prelim and Final will be held on Sunday and please be sure that you’ve purchased the Sunday party ticket or your registration will be invalid
Fee: NTD 300/ person
